Abell 85 Supernova Remnant In A Sea Of Stars
In the northern skies of fall in the constellation of Cassiopeia lies the supernova remnant designated as Abell 85. This object is extremely dim so this picture required over 9 hours of exposure time. Here we see Abell 85 in this 1 degree field showing the ancient supernova along with the surrounding dense blanket of stars and faint nebula all within our own milky way galaxy.
