Veil Supernova Detailed View
Pictured here is a closeup composite picture of the brighter components of the Veil Nebula. Just below the bright star near the top is the western veil sometimes called the witch's broom. The bright section in the lower left is called the eastern Veil. Below and to the left of the witch's broom lies the highly complex and dimmer long thin triangular section called Pickering's Triangle (discovered from photographic plates by Williamina Fleming). This picture is a detailed composite of the full picture that can be seen using your left arrow key.
