Pelican Nebula in Cygnus
Near the bright star called Deneb which is part of the constellation of Cygnus we find some large nebulous areas one of which is called the Pelican nebula seen in this 1.8 degree wide photo. The Pelican appears here to be looking to the left with a long beak resting on it's rather portly body. This picture enhances the Hydrogen Alpha emissions of the nebula. This nebula has the designation of IC5070 and in this picture north is to the top.
