Northern Winter Skies Ultra Wide Field

Northern Winter Skies Ultra Wide Field

Here we see a 35 degree wide area of the northern skies with a busy collection of sights but a few will be pointed out and maybe you can find them in the winter skies of the the northern hemisphere. The Andromaeda galaxy is almost centered in the lower left quadrant of this picture. In the far upper left we see the dim constellation called the Triangulum pointing to the left. The popular but dim galaxy called M33 is visible as a dim smudge about a third of the way down from the top and below the left most point star of the Triangulum to the top left. Almost centered in the upper right quadrant we see the Double Cluster as an impressive dual knot of stars. To it's right we see two nebulae with the Heart just below the Baby aka Soul nebula. The lower right quadrant is decorated with the bright constellation called Cassiopeia that forms a 'Big W' with the top of the W pointing to the lower right corner. There is a small fairly bright nebula just above the yellow star of Cassiopeia called the PacMan nebula with it's jaw toward the center of this picture. In the lower right corner we find a complex pair of nebulae with the designations of Ced214 mostly round and Ced215 to it's right more or less. vertical.
