The Baby and the Heart Nebula
To the east of the constellation of Cassiopeia lies some large and interesting nebulae captured here in this 5 degree wide section of the night sky where north is to the top of the picture. The Baby nebula, LBN667, shown in the lower left lies on its back with the head to the left. To it's right of center is the Heart nebula, IC1805, which shows off it's wispy and complex shape nicely in this deep sky photograph. Together these two are sometimes called the Heart and the Soul nebulae. Just off the upper right side of IC1805 lies Ngc896 which is smaller but fairly bright. There are other smaller nebulae also in the picture that can be seen as small fuzzy areas.
